The Weekend Beekeeper

Course Curriculum

You'll discover the "3 Pillars" that bees use to survive in the wild and use them in your own apiary

Learn to catch FREE wild honey bees

  • Did you know? Wild swarms outperform nucs and package bees that most people spend hundreds of dollars for.

  • Save Money: People spend on average $175 for a package of bees and upwards of $225 for nucs

  • Benefit: This course will literally save you hundreds in just this one training module alone

Course Feature

Keep bees in hives that are built like a tree hollow

  • Did you know? Commercial bee hives are NOT the ideal home for honey bees. They are built specifically to be light weight for constant transportation on trucks.

  • Backyard Beekeepers: Almost never need to move their bees

  • Do what works in nature: Learn to house bees in a hive they would choose if they could decide

Course Feature

Keep Thriving Colonies

  • Did you know? Bees around the world are in decline mostly in industrial beekeeping

  • Dependence on Treatments: Most commercial beekeeping operations would collapse if they stopped treating today

  • Nature solved already solve the problem: Bees already had the solution prior to treatments. Learn how to work with nature instead of using drugs and chemicals.

Course Feature

Better than "organic" honey

  • Did you know? Even when food is labeled  "organic" it may still contain small amounts of chemicals or pesticides allowed by law.

  • Did you know? Farmer "Joe" down the road selling local raw honey is probably treating his bees with chemicals and drugs BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT HE WAS TAUGHT!

  • Chemical Free: Your honey will be better tasting and better for you than anything you could ever purchase from stores or most other local beekeepers.

Course Feature

Limited Time Pre-Launch Bonuses

Early Adopter Bonuses

  • Customized Course: The course will be built around your specific needs as an early adopter. This is something that folks will not get to experience with the finished course!

How's it going?

My name is Gene Rene' and I've been a beekeeper since 2008. When I was around 10 years old my parents took me to a store that had an observation bee hive near the cash register. I got "bee fever" right then and there, and I knew one day, I would find a way to have my own bees to enjoy.

I searched high and low to find a way to finally have bees of my own and I came upon one of my first mentors who was a retired commercial beekeeper. He was an "interesting" person for sure, but he taught me what he knew, and the whole time I kept asking a million questions like -

Why do bee hives look like night stand drawers stacked on top of each other? Is this what they are supposed to live in? And how do bees in the wild survive without chemical treatments? Shouldn't they all be dead by now if no one is treating them? Why do we harvest their honey and then mix up sugar water or corn syrup to feed them so they don't starve?

My mentor told me that I ask too many questions, and I should just learn to copy everything he teaches me because that's what worked for him and lots of other successful beekeepers. So I did, and after nearly 3 years of trying to keep up with the commercial style management systems that so many of us new beekeepers are taught, I was getting more and more frustrated because I would lose bees and have one failure after another despite my most earnest and sincere efforts to do everything just the way I was told to do. That frustration just made me dig deeper revisiting the questions I asked and found that there are beekeepers out there that think outside the box and have mastered working with nature instead of fighting against it, or trying to cheat it with chemicals and manipulations that bees would not encounter in nature. I've spent hundreds of hours getting my hands on every piece of scientific evidence, books, videos, etc, on how honey bees actually live without us humans in the wild.

Now I have more bees and honey that I ever imagined! And the thing that amazes me the most, is I do almost nothing all year for them. I simply needed to come to grips with the fact that I had to "unlearn" all the junk information that I was taught and even though it's considered my many to be mainstream and that my mentors meant well, but they too were likely taught the same information and just did it that way because that's how everyone else does it. They just took for granted that what they learned was gospel, and never questioned it.

At first, it felt like a leap of faith. No medications? No treatments? No feeding? Only inspecting hives a couple times a year? And guess what the #1 thing I've learned throughout this entire journey is...?  👉  Nature had it figured out all along! And now that I work with nature instead of trying to work around it, it's easier and requires far less time and energy and I don't spend money on bees, treatments, and tons of gear that most catalogs sell you... Once you understand the fundamental laws of that govern bees in the wild, the sky is the limit as far as what you can achieve with them. AND THAT RIGHT THERE is what inspired me to create what may be the world's only truly natural and most affordable online course for helping people become a true steward for the honey bee no matter what their experience level may be.

But I get it, you probably don't really know me and to be fully transparent, I'm not a scientist, or a guru. I never went to any formal beekeeping schools or took college courses and obtained degrees in entomology. I'm basically just some guy that has a passion for keeping bees naturally and know that there are others out there that know deep inside there's a better way. I believe people should enjoy beekeeping, and that's why I created this platform... Right now, all you care about is CAN I ACTUALLY HELP YOU? Well, I used to teach classes in small group settings on my little farm, but during covid we couldn't gather in groups, so I made my first online video course version 1.0. I didn't know how to reach a bigger audience at the time, but more and more people started to check out the course and I loved seeing people from all over the world experience the real joy of keeping bees naturally, so I decided to take it more mainstream and let more people know there's a better way out there! I'm currently rebuilding a more up to date and thorough version 2.0 of my natural beekeeping course called Weekend Beekeeper Course that I want YOU to have early access to and be a part in shaping the course with me as I release the newly revised learning modules one at a time. People are blown away at how fast they can learn natural beekeeping when they follow a proven step-by-step process. I hope you're as excited as I am for you to begin this journey!  I can't wait for you to enjoy beekeeping!
