16 years ago as an apprentice I began to question why we would harvest the bees honey and then feed them sugar? Isn't honey what bees are supposed to eat? This was just ONE of an endless list of Q's I pummeled my mentors with all day. I struggled trying to keep up with all the "expert advice" I was getting from all the gurus. I finally took the "RED PILL" and broke out of the commercial beekeeping "Matrix" and made a personal commitment to a truly natural and sustainable "Bee Centered" stewardship. It was no longer about trying to copy profit driven commercial style honey bee systems - It would always be about the bees first and foremost. Honey should be a bonus! Beekeeping has never been more enjoyable and I now have more bees & honey than ever!
